Ports of Call

Singapore, Singapore - It's an island city-state, a World War II battleground, a global economic superstar, and a crossroads of the world. Cruise to Singapore with Holland America Line and in the space of a few hours you can relax in a Chinese teahouse, purchase a colorful sari in Little India and visit the gold-domed Sultan Mosque.

Port Klang - Port Klang (also known as Port Kelang ), is located in Selangor State on the Strait of Malacca about 25 miles southwest of the capital Kuala Lumpur. As the gateway to Kuala Lumpur, Port Kelang has great influence as a business and trading center, and is of enormous importance as a major port. A short trip to the capital, once a turbulent mining town, will reveal a fascinating mix of modern skyscrapers, Islamic mosques, and ornamental gardens. You'll also find some wonderful colonial architecture here, as well as the Petronas Twin Towers, the world's tallest buildings.

Penang, Malaysia - An island of stunning diversity, Penang has miles of endless golden sand beaches along which to stroll. Ride a rickshaw to the capital city of Gerogetown to shop for batiks or tour the Wat Chayamangkalarm, a major Thai temple that is home to an enormous statue of the reclining Buddha.

Phuket, Thailand - Set like a jewel in the Andaman Sea, Phuket is Thailand's only island province and is known throughout the world for its scenic beauty and exotic beaches framed by numerous bays, inlets, and forested hills. Picturesque limestone cliffs cascade down to the sea and masses of tropical vegetation, rubber plantations, and rice paddies abound.

Cruise Line cancellation policies are strictly enforced. For that reason, we urge all of our travelers to carefully consider whether travel protection is a good value for them.

Certainly, if you have reason to think that "something might come up" that might force you to cancel, travel protection is worth the cost of the premium. Examples we've seen in the past include ill or frail family members and changes in employment causing relocation.

If travel protection is the right choice for you, we recommend TravelSafe. To visit their site and explore your options click here or on the link above. The cruise lines also offer travel insurance and we'd be happy to help you go that route if you'd prefer.
