Objectives : This seminar will provide a working knowledge of common endocrinological problems. The course will reinforce physiology, pathophysiology, clinical manifestations, diagnosis and management of most major endocrine disorders. The current treatment for these disorders will be developed in sufficient detail to permit independent management or active participation in care with the endocrinologist.
Emphasis will be placed on clinical diagnosis and practical treatment with attention to evidence-based medicine. Upon completion, participants should be able to recognize the signs and symptoms of most endocrinopathies; educate their patients regarding the basic concepts and natural history of these diseases and participate with their patients and consulting endocrinologists in decisions regarding modern disease therapy and prevention.
This seminar will be relevant to family physicians, general internists, endocrinologists and others who manage patients with endocrinological disorders.

Ports of Call
San Juan, Puerto Rico - In days of yore, the waters near Puerto Rico teemed with pirate ships commanded by the likes of Sir Francis Drake. Aye, they are long gone, but in their wake they have left an island of national treasures: La Casa Blanca, built in 1501 for the island's first governor, Ponce de Leon; the cobblestone streets of Old San Juan; the tropical rain forests of El Yunque.
At Sea - Cruising - Cruising
Oranjestad, Aruba - A Dutch jewel with a tropical touch. In Oranjestad, Aruba's capital, explore the colorful floating market and Nassaustraat, brimming with quaint shops. Head for the beach where water sports abound: snorkeling, rides on glass bottom boats and submarines. Or venture into the countryside to see the haunts of the huge green parakeet, the unique rock gardens of Casi Bari, the curious divi divi tree, forever bending in the tradewind breezes
Willemstad, Curacao - An isle of Dutch treats: gabled storybook houses, duty-free Delftware, the famous Curacao orange flavored liqueur
Kralendijk (Bonaire), Antilles - Kralendijk is the sleepy capital of Bonaire, an island in the Dutch Antilles. Kralendijk is lined with delightfully pastel stucco houses, in pinks, oranges and lime greens. Famous for its diving - the island is surrounded by a Marine Park - Bonaire also offers such treats as flamingos, hiking and the only barefoot casino in the Caribbean.
Philipsburg, St. Maarten - An island under two flags. Sample the Dutch treats of Philipsburg: chocolate, cheese, delftware. On the French side linger over bouillabaisse, shop for Parisian perfumes.

Cruise Line cancellation policies are strictly enforced. For that reason, we urge all of our travelers to carefully consider whether travel protection is a good value for them.
Certainly, if you have reason to think that "something might come up" that might force you to cancel, travel protection is worth the cost of the premium. Examples we've seen in the past include ill or frail family members and changes in employment causing relocation.
If travel protection is the right choice for you, we recommend TravelSafe. To visit their site and explore your options click here or on the link above. The cruise lines also offer travel insurance and we'd be happy to help you go that route if you'd prefer.
