Dr. Brodell is a member of Phi Beta Kappa, Alpha Omega Alpha, American Academy of Dermatology, Noah Worcester Dermatological Society, American Society of Dermatopathology and the American Dermatological Association.

He is the immediate past president of the American Board of Dermatology and serves on the Board of Directors of the American Academy of Dermatology. He was honored to be a Master Teacher in his previous role at Northeastern Ohio Medical University (NEOMED) and served as chairman of the Master Teacher Guild. He serves on the Board of Directors of the American Academy of Dermatology and the Dermatology Residency Review Committe (RRC) of the Accreditation Council of Graduate Medical Education (ACGME).

Currently, Dr. Brodell serves as the Professor and Chair of the Department of Dermatology and Professor of Pathology at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, Mississippi. In addition he serves as Clinical Instructor Department of Dermatology University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry. Member Board of Directors, American Academy of Dermatology. Past President American Board of Dermatology, Cleveland Cavaliers Pro Basketball Fan of the Year - 1997. American Cancer Society, Relay for Life, Hall of Fame, 2005.

Adam Byrd, MD

Dr Adam Byrd was born and raised in Louisville, Mississippi. After graduating from high school, he earned his bachelor's degree from the United States Military Academy at West Point, NY and served for 5 years as a cavalry officer in the US Army.

Upon completion of his service obligation, Dr Byrd attended medical school at the University of Mississippi and then residency at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis. Upon obtaining his board certification in dermatology, Dr Byrd returned to his hometown to start a rural satellite dermatology clinic for the University of Mississippi Medical Center where he has an appointment as an Assistant Professor.

Dr Byrd has a wife and 3 young children and enjoys nearly all outdoor activities including cattle farming.

Dr. Helms arrived at the University of Mississippi with 35 years of private practice experience in Warren, Ohio. He graduated from The Ohio State University College of Medicine and completed his Dermatology residency at the University of Pittsburgh. In addition to teaching medical students and dermatology residents at Northeastern Ohio Medical University and Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, he frequently has taught at regional and national venues.

. His dermatology subspecialty interest is in occupational dermatology and contact dermatitis. Dr Helms has 65 scientific publications, is a reviewer for three journals; Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology, Cutis, and American Family Practice. He has also participated as an investigator or sub-investigator in a number of clinical trials.

He enjoys fishing, reading, watching classic movies, and especially, travelling with his wife, two children and their families.

Costa Maya, Mexico - Exploring the dense tropical vegetation and wide sandy bays of the Costa Maya, it's easy to imagine the days when sacrifice and slavery, rite and ritual were rampant in the Mayan culture. Even today, the countless ruins of temple walls, stairs and secret pathways exude magic and mystery. And when your archaeology lesson is complete, glorious stretches of coral sand may inspire you to build your own empire-of sand castles, of course!
Cozumel, Mexico - The Conquistadors first saw Mexico from the shores of Cozumel while searching for gold in the new world. Today, visitors to the island find out gold and silver jewelry in the dockside (and other) shops of San Miguel while having a great time in its many local bars and restaurants. Families, too, can easily find fun in Cozumel: there are a couple of water themed "parks" with lovely beaches stocked with many water sports options including a kid-friendly obstacle courses. Pleasant Horseback riding is also available with professional staff to ensure safety. Underwater adventure is here, as well; the waters around Cozumel's sheltered coral reefs make this one of the best snorkeling areas in the world.
