If the journey to Paris sounds like too much for you (about three and a half hours each way by auto, two and half by train), Le Havre itself is a lovely small city where you can find great food, charming streets and beautiful architecture. It also has a nice not-too-big Museum of Modern Art with an excellent collection of France's many great expressionist painters.
And, for those who trod "the middle way," just over the River Seine from Le Havre is the beautiful and charming, old port town of Honfleur. It served as a transit point to and from England for the Normans when they ruled there. Today, a small town pace and great old sights await, including it's medieval harbor and the Church of St. Catherine, designed and constructed by local shipbuilders at the end of the Hundred Years War.

Cruise Line cancellation policies are strictly enforced. For that reason, we urge all of our travelers to carefully consider whether travel insurance is a good value for them.
Certainly, if you have reason to think that "something might come up" that might force you to cancel, travel insurance is worth the cost of the premium. Examples we've seen in the past include ill or frail family members and changes in employment causing relocation.
If travel insurance is the right choice for you, we recommend TravelSafe. To visit their site and explore your options click here or on the link above. The cruise lines also offer travel insurance and we'd be happy to help you go that route if you'd prefer.
