Dr. Adam Bisaga is a Professor of Psychiatry at Columbia University Medical Center.
His NIH-funded research is focused on development of new medications to treat opioid and other substance use disorders.
Dr. Bisaga is co-directing federally-funded national training, mentoring, and technical assistance programs aimed at individual practitioners and states to implement treatments for opioid use disorder.
Dr. Bisaga is a member of UN Expert Panel and the UN Office of Drugs and Crime International Scientific Network. He conducts trainings and addiction treatment program developments internationally and he co-edited "UN/WHO International Standards for the Treatment of Drug Use Disorders."
Dr. Bisaga is a practicing addiction psychiatrist and an author of the book "Overcoming Opioid Addiction."
