ITINERARY
Sailing the Hawaiian Islands requires maximizing your time ashore, and a route with zero sea days and two overnight calls delivers exactly that. Aboard Pride of America, you wake up in a new port nearly every morning. The July timing provides long summer daylight hours to explore the distinct ecosystems of four islands. In Maui, the overnight stay in Kahului gives you the necessary time to ascend Haleakalā or navigate the winding road to Hana without watching the clock. A critical update for travelers: Hiking the summit of Diamond Head now requires advance reservations for non-residents. Pearl Harbor: A Somber Pilgrimage Visiting Pearl Harbor is not an excursion; it is a pilgrimage. The USS Arizona Memorial is the resting place of over 1,000 sailors and Marines, and the experience is deeply moving. Logistics here are paramount. Tickets for the boat launch to the memorial are released online 60 days in advance and vanish quickly; a secondary batch is released 24 hours prior, but relying on this is risky.
