Statement of Purpose:

Review the updated (2007) ASCCP cytology screening guidelines

Discuss potential uses of androgens in managing sexual dysfunction

Assess pros and cons of newer hormonal contraceptives

Develop a contemporary approach to polycystic ovarian syndrome

Compare methods of endometrial ablation in the treatment of menorraghia

View the evolution of women’s roles, changing fertility goals, and new technology in historical context

Decide which drugs to utilize or avoid in pregnancy and breastfeeding

Review how current methods of medical reimbursement have evolved and where they are going

Bruce D. Shephard, M.D Clinical Associate Professor, University of South Florida; Private Practice, Tampa, Florida. Dr. Shephard is co-author of The Complete Guide to Women's Health and has written extensively on women's health care for the consumer media. He has served as a McCain Fellow in Washington with the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. Dr. Shephard was just selected for inclusion in The Marquis Who's Who in Medicine and Health Care (2009-2010)
