Program Purpose / Objectives
This course is designed to provide new information about advances made recently in the field of Oral Medicine. The course will provide the participants with the new concepts in diagnosis and treatment of oral soft tissue lesions, xerostomia, oral infectious diseases and oral manifestation of systemic diseases and medications.
After completion, the participant will be updated on: Xerostomia - Diagnosis and treatment. Differential diagnosis of oral ulcers Infectious diseases of the mouth Oral manifestations of systemic diseases Oral manifestations of drugs Oral cancer Bisphosphonate induced osteonecrosis of jaw Differential diagnosis of PDL widening The oral-systemic connection Important drug interaction in Dentistry

Faculty
Joseph Katz, D.M.D, Professor, Head section of Oral Medicine, Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Diagnostic Sciences at the University of Florida. Dr. Katz Has an active patient care practice and he is deeply involved in teaching and translational research. He was trained at the Hebrew University School of Dental Medicine where he received his DMD and Residency in Oral Medicine. Dr. Katz is a member of the American Academy of Oral Medicine. He has authored more than 130 peer reviewed publications and sits on editorial boards of various scientific journals.

All staterooms are equipped with television, telephone and multi-channel music. Access to internet via on-board "Internet Cafe" as well as select WIFI - hotspots throughout the ship (usage fee applies). Not all staterooms within each category have the same furniture configuration and/or facilities. Prices INCLUDE current taxes and port charges as well as all shipboard meals, entertainment and activities. Not included: transportation to the ship, certain beverages and gratuities. Prices quoted based on availability and are "per person" based on double "occupancy". Passport not expiring within 6 months of return is required. Third and Fourth persons sharing same cabin pay only $696. Refundable deposit required at time of booking: $250 pp; balance due on March 26, 2010. Penalties assessed for cancellations after March 26, 2010, therefore we recommend purchasing an optional cruise protection plan. .
