Ports of Call
Alana, Turkey - On a rocky promontory above the harbor lies the impressive13th-century Alanya fortress. Stoic Roman structures and Byzantine churches fill the city below. But the intricate sea caves that surround this enchanting port may be the most popular attractions of all.
Alexandria, Egypt - Founded by Alexander the Great in 331 B.C., Alexandria became the capital of Greco-Roman Egypt. Its status as a beacon of culture symbolized by Pharos, the legendary lighthouse, that was one of the Seven Wonders of the World. The setting for the stormy relationship between Cleopatra and Mark Antony (Marcus Antonius), Alexandria was also the center of learning in the ancient world. Visit the old Roman theater, the Greco-Roman Museum, the magnificent new Library, Zoological Gardens and more.
Ashdod, Israel - Ashdod, located in the South District of Israel on the Mediterranean Sea coast, is Israel's largest port. Ashdod was first settled during the Canaanite era in the 17th century BC, making the city one of the most ancient in the world. Ashdod is mentioned thirteen times in the Bible. Now a well-planned modern city, Ashdod is a welcoming combination of ancient history and cosmopolitan port life, as well as a starting point for a day-trip to Jerusalem.
Civitavecchia (Rome), Italy - Plan your time here carefully, as the Eternal City's sights are endless: the Colosseum, the Forum, the Sistine Chapel, the Vatican and so much more.
Haifa, Israel - Considered to be one of the most beautiful cities in the Middle East, Haifa offers sweeping views of the sea with the Carmel Mountains as a glorious backdrop. Be sure to visit the Tikotin Japanese Museum, Stella Maris Monastery and the stunning gold-domed Bahai Shrine.
Limassol, Cyprus - A strategic garrison for Richard the Lionhearted during the Third Crusade, Limassol provides many archaeological sites, as well as an array of contemporary designer shops for exploring. The island of Cyprus is also home to two ancient kingdoms - Kourion and Amathus.
Port Said, Egypt - Founded in 1859 for men working on the Suez Canal, Port Said retains much of its Colonial charm to this day. Something also to keep in mind - the many tempting shops on Sharia Palestine become even more enticing when you consider that Port Said offers duty-free bargains.

TravelSafe.comPlease visit TravelSafe.com for travel insurance information.

Cruise Line cancellation policies are strictly enforced. For that reason, we urge all of our travelers to carefully consider whether travel insurance is a good value for them.

Certainly, if you have reason to think that "something might come up" that might force you to cancel, travel insurance is worth the cost of the premium. Examples we've seen in the past include ill or frail family members and changes in employment causing relocation.

If travel insurance is the right choice for you, we recommend TravelSafe. To visit their site and explore your options click here or on the link above. The cruise lines also offer travel insurance and we'd be happy to help you go that route if you'd prefer.
