Dr. Shawn K. Conner is a private practice Family Physician in the northern suburbs of Detroit, Michigan.
He completed medical school at Wayne State University in Detroit and attended residency at Genesys Regional Medical Center near Flint, Michigan.
He started a solo Family Medicine practice from scratch in the area where he grew up, and has been in practice there for almost 20 years.
Dr. Conner places a strong emphasis on the personal relationships he establishes with his patients, and in 2013 he was voted as "Best of the Best" Primary Care Doctor in Oakland County, Michigan. His office has been recognized as a Patient Centered Medical Home since the program inception. Dr. Conner greatly values education, and teaches medical students from both Wayne State University in Detroit as well as Michigan State University in East Lansing. He also serves as faculty for the American
Academy of Family Physicians where he teaches other primary care providers at medical conferences across the country.
Dr. Conner has practice interests in Dermatology, Upper Respiratory, and Preventive Health. He is actively involved in his community, serving on the local Corridor Improvement Authority, and he serves as an assistant coach on an adult soccer team.

Dr. Karty is a Board Certified Family Medicine physician and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians. She holds medical licenses in Kansas, Missouri, South Carolina and Illinois.
She received a Bachelor of Arts degree in biology and a medical degree from the University of Missouri ‐ Kansas City School of Medicine and is currently pursuing
a Master of Business Administration from the University of Kansas ‐ School of Business.
Most recently, Dr. Karty has been Associate Professor in the Department of Family Medicine at the University of Kansas Medical Center and Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Family Medicine at Kansas City University of Medicine
and Biosciences, both located in the Kansas City metropolitan area.
Previously, Dr. Karty served as the Medical Director in the Continuing Medical Education Division at the American Academy of Family Physicians and has been a member of that organization throughout her medical career, joining in the late 1980's.
In addition to creating innovative educational formats, educational planning for meetings, AAFP governance and the AAFP credit system, she has represented the AAFP at national organizations including the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), the Institute of Medicine (IOM), the Federation of State Medical Boards (FSMB), and the Council of Medical Specialty Societies (CMSS) and continues to represent the AAFP as co-chair of the Inter-Society Coordinating Committee (ISCC) of the National Human Genome Research Institute at the National Institutes of Health (NIH), a
team highlighting integration of practitioner education and genomics at national and international levels.
Dr. Karty also serves as a co-chair of the National Hadassah Physicians' Council and has served on the steering committee for the Hadassah Continuing Medical Education (CME) committee.
She has moderated several Continuing Medical Education sessions in Israel and recently served her fourth term as co-chair for the international meeting in November 2014. Dr. Karty has represented Hadassah as a member on
a Gender Equity in Medical Testing consensus group meeting at Georgetown University and helping to craft legislative policy supporting the work of the team.
