Ashley Emerson joined the faculty at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in the Fall of 2017. She received her Bachelor of Science from the University of Mississippi before attending medical school at the University of Mississippi Medical Center.

After graduating in 2013, Dr. Emerson completed her intern year at UMMC in internal medicine and then her dermatology residency at the Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in New Orleans, Louisiana, where she also was Chief Resident from 2016-2017.

Her interests include general dermatology, complex medical dermatology, and pediatric dermatology. In 2018, she was chosen “Teacher of the Year” by the dermatology residents at UMMC. Ashley enjoys college football and Bikram yoga, and is learning how to play the guitar.
