Ira “Dan” Harber hails from Iuka, MS. He received a BS degree in biology from ‘Ole Miss before attending medical school at the University of Mississippi Medical Center.



He won the UMMC Department of Surgery Suturing Award, perhaps an early indication of his interest in the procedural aspects of Dermatology.



After a preliminary year of internal medicine at Louisiana State University, New Orleans, he returned to the University of Mississippi to begin his training in Dermatology. He and his wife Alli were married in 2018, and they enjoy board games, cooking, ‘Ole Miss sporting events, and travel.
