Dr. Daniel J. Johnson is an Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine at the Penn State College of Medicine, where he serves as the Program Director for the Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Fellowship. He is also an EMS Physician with Life Lion, Penn State Health's critical care transport service.
Dr. Johnson earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his Emergency Medicine residency at Morristown Medical Center, where he served as Chief Resident, followed by an EMS Fellowship at Penn State. His current research and scholarly interests include EMS education, curriculum development, and clinical decision-making among prehospital clinicians.
