Dr. Hyman is an internist with more than 30 years of experience and head of HymanHealth, which is located on the Westside of Los Angeles, California. A nationally recognized disability expert, Dr. Hyman provides medical-legal evaluations spanning the continuum of internal medicine for a wide variety of legal and insurance organizations. He has evaluated hundreds of workers’ compensation patients around the country, from NFL players to everyday workers, providing credible and thorough diagnoses, depositions and documentation, often using the state-of-science technology found in his office.
Dr. Hyman had served for 30 years as an Associate Professor on the clinical faculty at the University of California - Los Angeles (UCLA). He pursued medical school, internship, residency and fellowship at UCLA. Dr. Hyman is a highly sought-after lecturer, including being the keynote speaker for annual State level meetings. He has authored various medical-legal and internal medicine topics. He has served as editor for the Internal Medicine section of the Medical Disability Advisor, Fifth and Seventh Editions. Much of his work can be found in prestigious peer-reviewed journals including the Annals of Internal Medicine, the Journal of the American Medical Association, the Archives of Neurology, the American Family Physician, and the Journal of Occupational Environmental Medicine. Dr. Hyman is a chapter author and editor for numerous American Medical Association (AMA) books including: A Physician’s Guide to Return to Work, Guides to Disease and Injury Causation, Guides to Functional Capacity Evaluations, Guides Transition Book, Guides to Navigating Disability Benefit Systems, Guides 6th edition and accompanying Internal Medicine Workbook
Over the years, Dr. Hyman has been a member of the AMA, American College of Physicians and the American College of Environmental and Occupational Medicine. His FACP designation acknowledges that he is a fellow of the American College of Physicians and has served on the organization’s Governor’s Advisory Council. His FAIME designation recognizes that he is a Fellow of the International Academy of Independent Medical Examiners. He is past chair of the National Board of Directors for IAIME. Dr. Hyman has testified before the United States Congress as a national expert on disability issues.
Dr. Hyman has received acclaim for his contributions to the medical world. In 2009, WebMD selected Dr. Hyman for its annual "Health Heroes" award. In addition, the City of Los Angeles recognized his involvement with the LA Police Department related to developing police arrest procedures.

PORTS OF CALL
San Juan, Puerto Rico
San Juan is one of the most rewarding and historically significant ports in the Caribbean, and its greatest asset is proximity. Your ship docks at the edge of Old San Juan, a 500-year-old walled city that is a destination in its own right. Forget the organized bus tours; this is a port best explored on foot.
Step off the ship and you are immediately immersed in the atmosphere of blue cobblestone streets and pastel-hued colonial architecture. Your primary objective should be exploring the two massive Spanish citadels that bookend the old city. Start with Castillo San Cristóbal, the largest Spanish fort in the Americas, then enjoy the scenic one-mile walk along the city wall to the iconic Castillo San Felipe del Morro, which has guarded the harbor entrance for centuries. The scale and preservation of these UNESCO World Heritage sites are genuinely impressive.
Beyond the forts, the joy of San Juan is in the wandering. Discover shaded plazas, artisan shops on Calle del Cristo, and the famous Fortaleza Street. Basseterre, St. Kitts

The main event here is the Brimstone Hill Fortress, a massive, astonishingly well-preserved British fortification and UNESCO World Heritage site. Known as the "Gibraltar of the West Indies," its cannons and stone walls command breathtaking panoramic views of the sea and neighboring islands. It’s a must-see for anyone interested in history or simply a spectacular viewpoint.
For a more relaxed perspective, the St. Kitts Scenic Railway offers a unique journey along old sugarcane lines, providing a leisurely tour of the island's coastline and villages. St. John's, Antigua

For anyone with an interest in history, the essential destination is Nelson's Dockyard. Located in English Harbour (a scenic 30-minute taxi ride), this meticulously restored 18th-century naval base is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the only continuously working Georgian dockyard in the world. It’s a living museum where you can walk the same cobblestones as Admiral Nelson, explore the Dockyard Museum, and enjoy lunch at a waterside café. For a breathtaking perspective, arrange for your driver to take you up to the Shirley Heights lookout for one of the most iconic panoramic views in the Caribbean.
Of course, Antigua is legendary for its beaches. While the claim of 365 beaches is a charming piece of local lore, you only need one for a perfect day. Castries, St. Lucia
St. Lucia stands apart from its Caribbean neighbors, defined by a dramatic, volcanic landscape rather than just its coastline. The island’s icons are the majestic Pitons, twin emerald peaks rising sharply from the sea—a UNESCO World Heritage site that forms one of the most breathtaking vistas in the tropics.
From the port in Castries, visitors face a pleasant choice, as the island’s prime attractions are geographically distinct. The quintessential St. Lucian experience lies to the south, near the town of Soufrière. Reaching it requires a commitment: either a winding, scenic drive of over an hour or a faster, highly recommended boat excursion. Beyond the city, the island's offerings are diverse. For a unique natural wonder, Harrison's Cave offers a stunning underground tram tour through crystallized limestone caverns. For a taste of the island's most famous export, a visit to the Mount Gay Rum Distillery provides both a history lesson and a tasting. Of course, the beaches are world-class. Just a short taxi ride from the port, Carlisle Bay is a magnificent crescent of white sand with calm, turquoise water, perfect for swimming and snorkeling over several shipwrecks teeming with marine life. For a more serene scene, the west coast, known as the "Platinum Coast," is lined with idyllic stretches like Paynes Bay and Mullins Beach.

TRIP CANCELLATION
Reimburses your prepaid, non-refundable travel expenses if you need to cancel your trip due to a covered reason, such as you, a family member, or traveling companion experiencing a covered illness or injury. Examples include:
A doctor says you or a traveling companion is too sick to fly
Your parent or child requires hospitalization
You need to attend the birth of a family member’s child
You have a traffic accident (not breakdown) on the way to the airport
A storm shuts down your airport for 24 hours or more
TRIP INTERRUPTION
Reimburses your unused, non-refundable travel expenses and increased transportation costs during your trip if you have to return home early due to a covered reason, for instance when a family member has a qualifying medical emergency and needs your care. Examples include:
You have a covered illness or injury and a doctor says you must return home
A family member has a qualifying injury and needs your care
A covered emergency, like a fire or flood, makes your home uninhabitable
TRAVEL DELAY
If you have a covered delay while traveling, travel insurance can reimburse you for meals, accommodations, and transportation expenses when your trip is delayed for a minimum number of consecutive hours for a covered reason. Minimum number of hours varies by plan.
EMERGENCY MEDICAL AND DENTAL CARE
