LEARNING OUTCOME:

Participants will be able to create a self-care plan incorporating mind-body exercises and/or healing modalities into everyday life to reduce stress and enhance well-being.

In order to receive CHs/CEUs, all participants are required to attend the entire workshop, complete all in-session program assignments, complete an evaluation form, complete and return a post-program SurveyMonkey® questionnaire and/or complete and return a post-program checklist, where applicable.

OBJECTIVES:

At the conclusion of this program, the participant will be able to:
  • Differentiate how mind-body exercise differs from conventional exercise
  • Analyze research-supported outcomes and benefits of mind-body exercise, specifically for yoga, qi-gong, and tai chi
  • Explore alternative healing modalities that reduce stress and promote well being
  • Evaluate the role of mind-body exercise and alternative healing modalities in chronic disease management
  • Demonstrate regulated breathing, mindful concentration, and gentle movements of the body that regulates mood and reduces stress
  • Discuss how mind-body exercises can be utilized during your workday
  • Develop a plan to incorporate mind-body exercise and alternative healing modalities into your everyday life
  • Appraise the benefit of applying mind-body exercise and alternative healing modalities into your patient's plan of care

Los Angeles, California - Los Angeles is a relatively young city, barely over a century old. This 467-square-mile desert basin is not only the center of the world's film industry; it also plays a major role in television, fashion, music and art. No wonder some of the world's most famous individuals choose L.A. as their home. The sunsets over the Pacific are nothing less than spectacular, and there are 72 miles of incredible oceanfront beaches from which to enjoy them.

At Sea - Cruising - Cruising

Cabo San Lucas, Mexico - This sleepy fishing village turned celebrity vacation haven is known for its snorkeling, coral reefs galore, and a nightlife that rivals the biggest party destinations in the world.
