7-Night Alaska Cruise Conference
June 17 - 24, 2009

UCSF Radiology is pleased to announce its first Continuing Medical Education course at sea, featuring topics in neuro, body and musculoskeletal imaging. Join us on the luxurious Regentsí Mariner, an all-suite, all-balcony, six-star ship, on a northbound Alaskan cruise from Vancouver, British Columbia to Seward/Anchorage, Alaska.

IMPORTANT BOOKING INFORMATION: In order for UCSF to obtain the necessary meeting space for the course, it is required that all participants and their families book their cabin through Continuing Education, Inc. (1-800-422-0711). In return, the ship provides amenities, such as receptions, dining arrangements and more for the group. All guests of course attendees are included in these complimentary events. Thank you for your compliance with this requirement.

Target Audience
This course is appropriate for all radiologists in clinical practice or in an academic environment.
Program Purpose / Objectives
This course will address important and practical topics in Body Imaging, Musculoskeletal Imaging and Neuroradiology. Highlights include updates in MRI of the rotator cuff, shoulder, knee and ankle, essentials of virtual colonoscopy, the latest imaging approaches for facial, orbital and head trauma and the use of MDCT of benign and malignant liver masses and solid and cystic pancreatic tumors.

Accreditation

The University of California, San Francisco School of Medicine (UCSF) is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

UCSF designates this education activity for a maximum of 12.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits.¬ô Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

The total credits are inclusive of 6.25 CT and 5.5 MRI.

This educational activity meets the requirements under California State Assembly bill 1195, continuing education and cultural and linguistic competency.
Conference Sessions generally take place on days at sea (as itinerary allows), giving you plenty of time to enjoy your meals, evenings and ports of call with your companion, family and friends.

EXCLUSIVE FOUR-NIGHT POST-CRUISE TOUR TO DENALI NATIONAL PARK AND PRESERVE

Continuing Education, Inc. has arranged an optional, post-cruise tour to Denali National Park exclusively for UCSF Radiology course attendees and their guests. Highlights include:

· Day 1 Transfer by exclusive coach to Anchorage for an overnight stay.
· Day 2 Board the McKinley Explorer for transfer to Denali. That evening, enjoy the Cabin Nite Dinner Theater. Get a taste of old-time Alaska at Alaska Cabin Nite, performed in an authentic, log-paneled roadhouse. It’s a great mix of colorful storytelling and spirited music.
· Day 3 Venture into the park on the Natural History Tour for a unique introduction to Denali’s rich cultural history. Utilize free time on optional excursions, or take advantage of complimentary programs in the park. Highly recommended is the Tundra Wilderness Tour. Travel almost 60 miles into the wilderness of Denali National Park and the heart of bear country. Enjoy over seven hours of wildlife spotting and spectacular scenery on this fullyguided tour. If the weather cooperates, you’ll see Mount McKinley up close.
· Day 4 Transfer by exclusive coach to Anchorage where you will be free to explore Alaska’s largest city.
· Day 5 Non-exclusive transfer to the airport for return fl ights.
Price is $1,348 per-person based on double occupancy and includes all transfers, overnight accommodations and taxes.

An additional add-on trip from Denali to Fairbanks is also available exclusive for UCSF Radiology at a cost of $580 per person.

The Regent Seven Seas¬í Mariner all-inclusive pricing includes selected alcoholic beverages, complimentary wine with lunch and dinner and all onboard gratuities. All meals and beverages, including 24-hour a day room service, are also included. There is no additional charge for dining in either of the two reservations only, limited seating restaurants, Signatures for Le Cordon Bleu ¬ģ-inspired cuisine and Latitudes for Indochine cuisine. The complimentary Club Mariner Youth Program will be offered for children ages 5 to 17 and is supervised by a staff of experienced and enthusiastic youth counselors.


All suites feature private balconies, European king-size beds convertible to twins, luxury European linens and feather-down duvets, a separate sitting area and marble-appointed bathroom with full bathtub and shower. There is a walk-in closet with safe; luxury European robes and cotton slippers, hair dryer; interactive television, DVD/CD player (In 2008, Regent Interactive Television with a large media selection will be introduced.), and refrigerator replenished daily with soft drinks, beer and bottled water. In-suite bar setup upon embarkation and Butler service available in Penthouse B suites and above. Wheelchair-accessible and triple suites are available. A limited number of suites feature a shower stall with no tub.
