Program Purpose / Objectives
This program consists of an intense but enjoyable 14 hours of interactive Review and Practice on ECG (or EKG) & Arrhythmia Interpretation ‐ with focus on clinical application . There are 4 main topic areas:

Topic Area #1: ECG INTERPRETATION
Begins with the basics of the Systematic Approach to ECG Interpretation. Areas covered include Intervals, Axis/Hemiblocks, Chamber Enlargement, Bundle Branch Blocks, Ischemia/Infarction (including identification of the "culprit" vessel), Electrolyte Disorders, Pericarditis, WPW, Technical Errors, How to Use (or Not Use) the Computerized Interpretation Readout, and Normal Variant Patterns. Clinical relevance is stressed throughout.

Topic Area # 2: ECG REVIEW: Practice Tracings
Principles covered in Topic Area #1 are continually reviewed through the numerous Practice Tracings that are worked through in detail. Detailed explained answers are found in Dr. Grauer's books and Handout materials given to all participants. Questions are welcome!

Topic Area # 3: Arrhythmia INTERPRETATION
Begins with the basics of Rhythm Interpretation, which serves to catch up providers with less experience — while at the same time surprising even the most experienced interpreters with numerous clinical pearls along the way. Areas covered in addition to the basic rhythms are Narrow and Wide Tachycardias, Nodal Rhythms, MAT, AIVR, Vagal Maneuvers, AV Blocks/AV Dissociation (as well as mimics of AV Block), Aberrant conduction, and lots more.

Topic Area # 4: Arrhythmia Management/Practice
Principles covered in Topic Area #3 are thoroughly reviewed through Practice Tracings that are worked through in detail. Along the way — clinical concepts in arrhythmia management are covered, including diagnostic assessment of the patient with (or suspected of having) an arrhythmia. A practical approach to arrhythmia management is stressed, including clear guidelines for when to refer.

Special Gift:
Dr. Grauer will be providing each attendee with a very detailed course syllabus that includes five free pocket books, authored by him, which consolidate the educational material and contain Practice Exercises with detailed Explained Answers. There will be additional hard copy handout materials, as well as reference pdf files that cover all that will be discussed during Dr. Grauer's sessions.

Dr. Grauer's Pocket Brain Books You'll Receive (His GIFT to You! ):
  • ECG-2014-Pocket Brain Expanded book (navy blue)
  • A 1st Book on ECGs-2014 (baby blue)
  • 12-Lead ECG Practice Exercises (white)
  • ACLS-2013-Pocket Brain book (purple)
  • ACLS: Practice Code Scenarios-2013 (red)

Conference Sessions generally take place on days at sea (as itinerary allows), giving you plenty of time to enjoy your meals, evenings and ports of call with your companion, family and friends.

Ports of Call
Cozumel, Mexico - The Conquistadors first saw Mexico from the shores of Cozumel while searching for gold. Today, visitors to the island continue to seek out gold and silver jewelry in the shops of San Miguel while having a great time in its many local bars and restaurants. Plus, the waters around Cozumel's sheltered coral reefs make this one of the best snorkeling areas in the world.
Havana, Cuba - Legendary nightlife, iconic music, and distinct culture. Take the unique opportunity to get to know fascinating local culture while discovering the timeless sights and sounds of nostalgic Havana. Mingle with locals and partake of the cafecito ritual at local cafés as you immerse yourself in a place untouched by time.
Tampa, Florida - A myriad of attractions awaits you during your stay in the Tampa area: the active nightlife of Tampa's Ybor City, it's Aquarium, and Busch Gardens for those with kids (even Walt Disney World is within striking distance). Magnificent beaches are a short ride away (Ft. DeSoto being a rare jewel of a beach without hotels and "McMansions" crowding out nature), then there's the Dali museum in St. Petersburg's hip, food-and-art-centric Downtown. To the south, in quieter Sarasota, you can visit the palatial mansion and art museum of the king of the circus: John Ringling. It's a great vacation destination, in itself. Be sure to plan a couple days before or after your cruise to soak it in.

TravelSafe.comPlease visit TravelSafe.com for travel insurance information.

Cruise Line cancellation policies are strictly enforced. For that reason, we urge all of our travelers to carefully consider whether travel insurance is a good value for them.

Certainly, if you have reason to think that "something might come up" that might force you to cancel, travel insurance is worth the cost of the premium. Examples we've seen in the past include ill or frail family members and changes in employment causing relocation.

If travel insurance is the right choice for you, we recommend TravelSafe. To visit their site and explore your options click here or on the link above. The cruise lines also offer travel insurance and we'd be happy to help you go that route if you'd prefer.
