COURSE FEES
$1,095.00 for Physicians, Psychiatrists, Pharmacists, & Attorneys
$850.00 for Physician Assistants & Nurse Practitioners
Upon completion of this course's sessions the clinician and his/her health care delivery team will be able to perform a thorough and comprehensive soft tissue head and neck screening examination, accurately and thoroughly document oral pathology in the patient's clinical record, create an appropriate differential diagnosis and provisional diagnosis, treat and/or manage diagnosed soft tissue oral and oropharyngeal pathology, state and employ current follow-up and referral guidelines, and strengthen their practice's risk management. The sessions' format will consist of clinical cases culled from the speaker's four decades of patient care. At the course's conclusion the health care delivery team will have a greater appreciation for the breadth and scope of oral and maxillofacial pathology especially significant diseases not covered or emphasized in medical/dental training.
The purpose of these lectures is to update the attendees knowledge of common ENT and sleep disorders seen in the primary care office. This will include updating clinical guidelines for the diagnosis and treatment of facial paralysis, facial pain and headache disorders and "sinus headaches" as well as a discussion of the head and neck manifestations of reflux disease and the diagnosis and treatment of various forms of rhinitis. The sleep medicine lectures will update knowledge in the latest diagnostic and treatment options for obstructive sleep apnea including hypoglossal nerve stimulation. We will discuss other sleep disorders such as narcolepsy, REM sleep behavioral disorder and nocturnal leg movement syndromes. The attendees will learn the basics of CPAP management for patients with OSA and provide a basis for incorporating CPAP care into the primary care office. It is the desired outcome that these lectures will result in improved diagnosis of head and neck and sleep disorders resulting in effective treatment and improved patient outcomes.

PORTS OF CALL
Ft. Lauderdale, Florida - There is an abundance of things to see and do in the Ft. Lauderdale area: visit the newly redesigned Ft. Lauderdale Beach and cafes, stroll the historic Riverwalk, shop the luxurious stores on Las Olas Boulevard, or adventure to the Everglades for an intriguing air boat excursion.
Half Moon Cay, Bahamas - All Bahama Islands are full of tropical wonders and sun-kissed beaches; but Half Moon Cay, Holland America Line’s private island in the Bahamas is an absolute stunner. When you feel the sugar-white sand on your toes or see its brilliant blue lagoon, you’ll understand why cruise travelers love Half Moon Cay. True bucket-list excursions, secluded cabanas, and stunning beaches make it ideal for any type of vacation.
At Sea - Cruising - Cruising
Oranjestad, Aruba - A Dutch jewel with a tropical touch. In Oranjestad, Aruba's capital, explore the colorful floating market and Nassaustraat, brimming with quaint shops. Head for the beach where water sports abound: snorkeling, rides on glass bottom boats and submarines. Or venture into the countryside to see the haunts of the huge green parakeet, the unique rock gardens of Casi Bari, the curious divi divi tree, forever bending in the tradewind breezes.
Willemstad, Curacao - Curaçao is a treasure trove of cultural attractions, rich history, and natural scenery — from desert landscapes and rugged cliffs to 38 spectacular, and mostly secluded, beaches. Sint Anna Bay separates the two sides of the capital of Willemstad. Punda, the original settlement, is a tidy grid filled with shops and unique markets, restaurants and open-air cafes. Not to mention the famous tropicalized Dutch architecture in vibrant hues. Otrobanda (literally, “the other side”) is a maze of narrow streets and even narrower alleyways. And at only 40 miles long, a wide variety of island adventures are within easy reach during your Curaçao cruise.
Panama Canal - Cruising
Gatun Lake - At the center of one of the world’s greatest engineering projects is a place where nature has been given a space to flourish—the vast Gatún Lake. The lake includes some 20 miles of the 48-mile route that ships follow through the Panama Canal. While a passenger gazing at its forested shores may assume they are looking at a landscape that predates the canal, the lake is as much a manmade creation as the various locks. It was formed in 1912, with the damming of the Chagres River, and the islands that dot the lake were once the peaks of hills. At its Caribbean end, the Gatún Locks raise ships traveling towards the Pacific to the level of the lake; at its other end, the Pedro Miguel and then the Miraflores Locks lower them back to sea level. In addition to opportunities to see the infrastructure of the canal , Gatún Lake is fascinating for its remarkable biodiversity. More than 100 species each of mammals and reptiles, as well as some 500 different birds, thrive in the nature reserves in and near the lake.
Colon, Panama - Colon lies on the stunning Caribbean coast of Panama, where unparalleled beaches and lush tropical scenery are de rigueur. In nearby Portobello, discover the ruins of Spanish forts, watch the colorful yachts sailing in the bay or hunt for treasures in the local markets. Travel to the Gatun Locks for a bird's eye view of the immense ships passing through the Panama Canal.
Puerto Limon, Costa Rica - Come to Puerto Limon ready to meet a raw and beautiful side unlike any other in Costa Rica. Go off-road and through prehistoric forests in places like the famous Veragua Rainforest Park. Jump onboard a Costa Rica cruise and glide on a canoe over the Tortuguero Canal, meet wild creatures at the Costa Rica Wildlife Sanctuary, or get in some of the region's best surfing at the Salsa Brava reef break, just an hour's drive south of the port.
