Jermaine Lowrie, BPHARM, RPH
Jermaine Lowrie is a pharmacist with 17 years' experience, who trained in Guyana and Jamaica and has practised in Saint Lucia and the British Virgin Islands. He has been a member of the Caribbean Association of Pharmacists for over ten years, sitting on the Executive for two years. Jermaine is passionate about the role of technology in all aspects of pharmacy, and was responsible for the implementation of the Omnicell automated dispensing system in the British Virgin Islands. Always keen to stay ahead of the curve in technological advances, Jermaine has a particular interest in the procurement process and is a keen proponent of the idea that blockchain technology is about to revolutionise how we address the challenges of supplying and tracking goods to the Caribbean. can't do
Denero McIntosh, BPharm, Rph
Denero McIntosh, graduated from the University of the West Indies, St. Augustine with the Bachelor of Pharmacy degree in 2007. He has been a practicing Hospital pharmacist for 11 years employed at The Doctors Hospital Health System, a private JCI-accredited medical facility in Nassau, Bahamas. During his time as a clinical staff pharmacist, he has notably established, Doctors Hospital Pharmacy’s 1st Antibiogram and Therapeutic Drug Monitoring protocols for Narrow Therapeutic Index Antibiotics, namely Vancomycin and Gentamicin.
While making his mark in the hospital sector, Denero decided to expand his career opportunities and became a successful entrepreneur by opening his own pharmacy in 2014. He has partnered with the Southside Medical Clinic to offer patient-centered pharmaceutical care. He also currently provides private counselling and medication provision services to a local nursing home. He is currently serving as the Pharmacy Owners Representative of the Bahamas Pharmacy Association Board 2018/2020. Besides serving and helping others, his professional desire is to ensure the establishment of a vibrant ambulatory care practice in his home country.

Ms. Bailey is currently a Pharmacist attached to the Cayman Islands Health Services Authority Hospital Pharmacy where works with the Clinical Pharmacy team in the inpatient Pharmacy Services. Previous experience includes pharmacist at a number of hospitals and commercial pharmacies in the Cayman Islands and Jamaica.
Ms. Bailey was a member of the Pharmacy Council of Jamaica and is also a former President of the Pharmaceutical Society of Jamaica. She is currently a member of the Cayman Pharmacists Association.
Winsome Jefferson, BPharm, MSc, CCDE
Winsome Jefferson is a diabetes pharmacist and a diabetes educator at the Cayman Islands Health Services Authority (CI HSA), Grand Cayman. She has been a pharmacist for over 25 years, of which 14 years have been spent at her current employment.
She earned a diploma in pharmacy at the College of Arts, Science and Technology (CAST), an institution now known as University of Technology. Subsequently, she obtained a Bachelor of Pharmacy Degree with the same University with First Class Honours in 2004.
Shortly after her tenure at the CI HSA, she completed a diabetes educator’s course at the Department of Community Health and Psychiatry at the University of the West Indies in Mona, Jamaica. She obtained a Masters of Science Degree in Clinical Pharmacy at the Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen, Scotland in 2012.
Her passion for diabetes led her to become the first Caribbean Certified Diabetes Educator at the Cayman Islands Health Services Authority. She has been managing a weekly diabetes education clinic including pharmaceutical care at the General Practice Clinic for the past 5 years. She also runs a US based Insulin for Life Charity Program geared at patients with diabetes who are unable to afford Insulin and sundries.
She manages the General Practice Clinic Pharmacy at the Cayman Islands Health Services Authority and is also a member of the Inpatient Pharmacy Team.
She is married to Dr. Delroy Jefferson, medical director of the Cayman Islands Health Services Authority. Together they have one adult daughter.
