Objectives: This seminar will inform and update primary care providers on selected topics which impact the female patient. Emphasis will be placed on a wide variety of gynecologic complaints often brought to the attention of the primary care provider. The series will be clinically oriented, but will include basic pathophysiology and management recommendations for treating female patients from puberty through menopause. Upon completion of the course, participants should be able to describe current recommendations in the outpatient evaluation of gynecologic complaints seen in the primary care office. The information will be relevant to a wide variety of practitioners, including family medicine, internists, pediatricians and surgeons.
