Dr. Gershengorn is a Professor in the Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine at the University of Miami, Miller School of Medicine. She received her medical degree from Harvard Medical School and completed a residency in Internal Medicine at New York Presbyterian Hospital-Cornell and a fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at New York Presbyterian Hospital-Columbia.

She is Editor in Chief for CHEST Critical Care, serves on the planning committee for Critical Care for the American Thoracic Society, and is Past-Chair of the Internal Medicine Section for the Society of Critical Care Medicine.
