Professor Ariel Weissman graduated from the Hadassah-Hebrew University Medical School in Jerusalem in 1988. In 1994, he completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Kaplan Medical Center in Rehovot, where he spent an additional two years as a senior physician in the IVF unit. Prof. Weissman then undertook a two-year research and clinical fellowship with at the Division of Reproductive Sciences, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, University of Toronto, Canada.

Upon returning to Israel in 1998, Prof. Weissman joined the IVF unit at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Wolfson Medical Center in Holon and became a faculty member at Tel Aviv University’s Faculty of Medicine, where he currently holds the position of Full Professor. Since 2000, together with David Gardner, Ph.D., Colin Howles, Ph.D., and Zeev Shoham, M.D., Prof. Weissman has co-authored the Textbook of Assisted Reproductive Techniques: Laboratory and Clinical Perspectives, which has become one of the leading references in the field of Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART). The sixth edition of this influential textbook was recently published.
